The client was keen to make sure of the provenance of all supply materials that they procure in the supply chain. They needed to make sure that all the parts that they receive are legitimate goods and not second-rate products procured illegally. The client was a U.S. Government Healthcare agency working in the area of Public Health Services

They approached SoftPath Technologies with an objective to evaluate Enterprise-wide information security system and secure it against sophisticated security threats. Additionally, they wanted to provide access to this system to various departments while safeguarding information, ensuring confidentiality and integrity. The desired objective was to ensure a secure system that provides, improves and protects the health, well-being and self-reliance of the state citizens.

Key challenges faced was the sheer diversity of systems used, it consisted of 167 separate IT systems and applications including health facility licensing, case management, account receivable system, laboratory management system. many of these systems required redesign and replacement to integrate into the new business requirements. The new system being developed had to adhere to strict regulations like HIPPA, IRS Publication 1075 (security), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) security and guidelines.

SoftPath Technologies Tech team worked on these challenges and built a system by integrating Technologies/Applications with Oracle ESB, implemented Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) to transfer data seamlessly between different Technologies/Applications, supported protocol conversions like SOAP, FTP etc. The new system supported rollback of committed services, rule based, process-driven and atomic transactions. It further supported Encryption, Decryption and Digital Signature. The above system was designed and implemented by adhering to Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) principles.

The project resulted in a new system that provided citizens with easy access to services and their data. U.S based client wanted to develop an on-line store to market OTC medicines, the store was to offer more than 1 million products and had to display its images, description, reviews, comments. Additional features required were, checkout, track order, tax calculation based on location, display related products in every page, recently viewed products, chat application integration etc. The application was to be accessible just by a simple login with the web content being easily accessed by anyone and everyone all over the globe. The content response had to be less than 10 seconds. It was to be integrated with Braintree payment gateway and other third party shipping applications. The store had to be operational 24/7 without any down-time.

SoftPath Technologies developed this online store using Shopify ecommerce platform. It is a LAMP STACK application deployed in the Amazon web services (AWS). Load balancing along with auto-scaling was added to overcome the high-volume traffic and distribution of load across instances. The application was search engine optimized to ensure best page ranking in Google, Bing and Yahoo search. The application is integrated to UPS, USPS and Shipping Easy applications for shipping to customer location and tracking the order.
